Product Description

The new Chamber board design developed out of Jimmy’s surfboard line and the JL kite team’s prodding. The Chamber is a pro-level surfboard at the core with a narrow nose, softer rails forward and more kick in the rocker behind the forward fins, making it better suited in higher winds. This produces a board that is unbelievably loose and maneuverable on the wave, making it the weapon of choice for kiters who spend the majority of their time in the surf and want a board without limits. Both the Surf and the Chamber can be kited strapless or strapped. The Chamber, since it is a full-on surfboard, can be surfed as well when the wind drops out for kiting. Based on the feedback from KSM instructor and JL teamrider, Niccollo Pocella, the JL Chamber is sure to be a hit with those who are looking for the ultimate in performance in the waves. The Chamber is available in three sizes, 5’9 x 17.75”, 6’0 x 18.25”, 6’3 x 18.75”.

  1. KT Chamber 5'9"

Posted by Unknown on 29th Aug 2009

I have had this for ~ a month and am writing this because I couldn't find much in the way of reviews on it. I have a JL Mod 3 that is my favorite TT and we all know JL shapes are popular.
I have ridden it strapped and unstrapped in high wind gorge conditions and for downwinders in the surf. It is really loose, super slashy, and a real blast to ride. I am preferring it unstrapped as it feels the most like surfing of any kiteboard I've ridden.
I had a concern when i read that someone had panned the upwind abilities of this board. I don't think were very experienced as even in lighter wind this board rockets upwind! I think it is on par with my skim for upwind ability.
I am thinking about getting it in a 6'2" to replace my other 6'2" (SST) because it is know my favorite board.
    Thanks, Jimmy!

  2. JL Chamber 5'9"

I would really like to hear of the pros and cons for this board. My Model III is my favorite TT of all I have ridden in 5 yrs. I have tried multiple surf boards, directionals and my current favorite is a 08 6'2" SRT. A little boaty for the river, great in big surf. I am looking for a slightly shorter strap/strapless for OR coast, Maui, Gorge and like the lines and tech on this board. Any feedback?
    Thanks!
